INAUGURATION

The newly appointed Supervisory councillors, Special Advisers and Senior Special Assistants in Kurmi Local Government Area have been inaugurated.

The inaugural ceremony which took place at the Recreation Center Baissa was administered by the chief Magistrate, Baissa Magistrate Court,Ninunji Obadiah

Speaking at the event, the chairman Kurmi Local Government Council, Moses Maihankali reminded the appointees that the oath of office they had taken was secret and urged them to live up to the expectations of the people.

Maihankali expressed confidence in the the calibre of the newly inaugurated officials, stressing that they were carefully chosen to serve the people.

He advised them to remain committed and contribute meaningfully to an administration that work for all.

He also called on them to work harmonious with stakeholders and residents of Kurmi Local Government Area to advance the "Moving Forward" agenda of Governor Agbu Kefas in the state.

Maihankali who is also the chairman of Association of Local Governments of Nigeria, ALGON Taraba State chapter commended the Legislative Council for their swift and transparent screening and confirmation of Supervisory councillors nominees.

On the insinuations circulating on social media and news outlets that members of legislative council in the state extort money from supervisory councillors and special advisors for their screenings, the chairman described the allegations as unfounded and baseless.

In his remarks, the chairman of All Progressives Congress, APC in Kurmi Local Government Area, Nyifwa Mamman Waziri urged the newly sworn in executives to be More committed to their primary responsibilities.

He warned them against engaging in anti-party activities, stating that anyone found wanting would removed immediately.

Waziri further encouraged them to use their positions to work diligently for the victory of the party in twenty twenty seven general elections.

Responding on behalf of the new cabinet members, the supervisory councillor for works, Ibrahim Kashala Sambo thanked the chairman, Agbu Kefas and the entire stakeholders in Kurmi for finding them worthy to serve and assured to maintain the confidence reposed in them.
